The roll out of a new learning franchise for young children will create 150 Irish jobs over the next three years, according to an Irish entrepreneur.

Bricks 4 Kidz was set up by Creative Learning Corporation in Florida in 2008 and now has over 750 franchises in over 40 countries.

The company provides programmes in science, technology, engineering and maths (Stem) using Lego bricks. The company offers camps, classes and parties to boys and girls aged 4-12.

Wexford based entrepreneur Karl Fitzpatrick has acquired the Bricks 4 Kidz master franchise for Ireland and plans to roll-out thirty sub-franchises over the next three years.

He said “I saw a niche in the Irish market for an educational play business and Bricks 4 Kidz was the perfect fit, having already achieved phenomenal success across the globe.

“We will be opening our first creativity centre in Wexford in July and plan to have a strong presence in every county across the country by 2018”.
