Top executives set to leave 'Irish Times'
Two of the most senior executives at the 'Irish Times' are to leave the company, the Irish Independent has learned.
Finance director Peter Callan and Vivien McKechnie, who is the commercial sales director, are due to leave their roles shortly, the company confirmed.
"Both are leaving their positions shortly and their roles are not being replaced as part of a review of management structures and overall costs. Their roles are being absorbed within existing structures," a spokesman said.
In June, the 'Irish Times' announced plans to reduce costs by €3.5m over the next three years, including a target to cut payroll costs in the business by €1.5m.
The company, which employs around 400 staff, will also rent out two floors of its Dublin headquarters at its Tara Street office as part of the money-saving drive.
