Savage eyes tripling in profits at Communications Clinic
Profits at the public relations agency led by Today FM presenter Anton Savage more than tripled to €34,704 last year.
The Dublin-based Communications Clinic counts golf superstar Rory McIlroy as one of its clients.
New accounts show that accumulated profits at the firm rose by €34,704 to €580,521 in the 12 months to the end of last March.
This is more than three times the €11,661 jump in profits recorded in 2013 when profits were affected by the firm reinvesting.
The firm's cash pile increased last year by €164,123 to €619,628.
Mr Savage combines having one of the best jobs in Irish radio after taking over the mid-morning slot from Ray D'Arcy on Today FM in January with being managing director of the Communications Clinic.
"Our 2014 results were somewhat ahead of target," Mr Savage said.
"Highlights for the financial year included the move to our new headquarters on Adelaide Road, and continued growth in both our divisions.
"Our training business has seen market conditions improve in recent years, particularly in job interview training. Our PR division continues to perform well."
On the current year, Mr Savage said that "full year 2015 is looking good, our expectation is that revenues and profits will be on target, broadly in line with FY 2014",
The agency currently employs 14 people.
"We have a team of really hardworking good people," Mr Savage said.
"It's thanks to the hard work put in by each of them that we have had a good 2014 and are confident about the coming years."
