Readership of the Irish Independent has grown once again, placing Ireland's biggest quality daily newspaper head and shoulders above our competition.

Securing our unique and undisputed position as the country's best-read daily newspaper, the readership of the Irish Independent at 688,000 is more than the combined readership of our two quality daily rivals, The Irish Times and Irish Examiner.

The latest Joint National Readership Survey (JNRS) results show the Irish Independent experienced strong growth since the 2014 report with adult readership up by 12,000 readers, up 2pc, and Dublin readership up by 25,000 readers, up 16pc.

The immense strength of the Irish Independent is supported by the fact it has 375,000 loyal readers.

Critically, the Irish Independent is the number one newspaper in the daily market across key audience sectors with 382,000 ABC1 readers, 359,000 male readers and 329,000 female readers.

Independent News & Media (INM) titles continue to dominate the Irish news market, reaching a combined audience of 2.4 million readers every week across our print and digital offerings, making INM the largest media group in Ireland.

Each of the four publications within the INM Group are leaders in their respective markets.
