Pollock joins Sunday Independent business team
Sean Pollock has been appointed as Business Reporter at the Sunday Independent.
He joins from the Sunday Times where he worked as both a news and business reporter covering stories including foreign-direct investment, Irish companies abroad and Brexit.
Before his move into journalism, Pollock worked as an economist and policy adviser with Enterprise Ireland.
While working with the state agency, he developed an interest in exporting Irish companies, particularly those at the beginning of their export journey.

A native of Scotland, Pollock initially graduated from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh with a BSc in Psychology and Sociology.
In 2013, shortly after graduating, he joined Scottish Enterprise, the business development agency, where he worked as an adviser to sustainable construction companies. He completed a part-time master's degree in Economics at the University of Glasgow during this time.
In 2017 Pollock left Enterprise Ireland and completed a master's degree in journalism at Dublin City University.
Pollock joins Business Editor Samantha McCaughren and Deputy Business Editor Fearghal O'Connor in the Sunday Independent, as well as the wider business team at Independent News & Media.
