Economist David McWilliams is back on our screens with a new economics show 'Agenda' on TV3.

The Irish Independent columnist's first guest is President Michael D Higgins, who will be live in studio at noon this Sunday.

'Agenda' will also feature interviews with controversial Donald Trump supporter Ann Coulter and chief economics commentator of the 'Financial Times' Martin Wolf in the first episode this weekend.

President Higgins will discuss some of the big themes in his new book 'When Ideas Matter', including the plight of refugees and the economics of work.

In her interview, Ms Coulter speaks to Mr McWilliams about the US presidential race, her thoughts on Republican presidential candidate Mr Trump and the narrative around immigration.

Ms Coulter believes Mr Trump's popularity is based on a reaction to immigration.

"The media will not mention immigration, but go to one of his rallies and the crowd starts chanting 'build the wall'… tens of thousands of people chanting 'build the wall'. That is what it's about," she said.

McWilliams also sits down with Mr Wolf to discuss the potential global economic impact after the US election.
