The creative advertising agency behind some of Ireland's best-known ads last year booked a 76pc increase in pre-tax profits to €1.27m.

New accounts show that the Dublin-based Cawley NEA Ltd, which trades as TBWA Dublin, enjoyed the profit hike after its revenues went up by 15pc to €14.65m.

The company paid out a dividend of €2m last year and - in a post balance sheet event - paid out an additional €1.2m in dividends in June.

TBWA, part of the US-headquartered Omnicom Group, purchased a majority stake in Cawley NEA in 2002.
