Kenmare Resources and Grafton Group add non-executive directors to boards

Irish mining company Kenmare Resources and building materials firm Grafton Group have both added to their boards this morning with non-executive appointments.

Grafton have brought Susan Murray and Vincent Crowley in as non-executive directors.

Ms Murray already holds the same role at FTSE 100-listed company Compass Group, which provides food and support services to over fifty countries,

The former Farrow & Ball chairman has held positions on some of the world's biggest brands, including Pernod Ricard, Imperial Tobacco, and SSL International. Ms Murray was also chief executive of Littlewoods Stores and former chief executive of The Pierre Smirnoff Company.

Grafton's second appointment Mr Crowley is currently a non-executive director at Bulmers-maker C&C Group as well as executive chairman of Atlas Investments.

Mr Crowley also held the positions of chief executive and chief operating officer of Independent News and Media, the parent company of this website.

Meanwhile, Kenmare Resources has added Tim Keating and Graham Martin to its board with immediate effect. Mr Martin will also take the role of chair of board's remuneration committee.

Mr Keating is the head of mining investment private equity at the State General Reserve Fund, a sovereign wealth fund of the Sultanate of Oman.

Experienced natural resources executive Mr Martin is also general counsel at Tullow Oil.
