Risk firm needs 250 more Irish staff in Brexit boost
Global risk solutions provider Sedgwick is to create 250 jobs in Ireland. Formerly known as Sedgwick OSG, the company currently has 400 employees across seven offices here.
It is looking for staff in customer service, sales, claims, property, liability, accident and health insurance, as well as corporate finance, technology and compliance.
Malcolm Hughes, CEO of Sedgwick in Ireland, pictured with staff, said: "We see growth being driven by a strong pipeline of new business projects, responding to our growing client demands, and a demand for managed solutions in anticipation of Brexit."
Sedgwick employs over 21,000 people in 65 countries and recently secured a "significant" contract with Irish Life Health as one of their preferred service providers. Founded in 1969, private equity fund The Carlyle Group is a majority shareholder in the business.
