The Natural Bakery has announced the opening of four new stores in the next eight weeks leading to the creation of a further 35 jobs.

The locations are on Baggot Street, the IFSC, Naas and Citywest and will bring the total store count up 11 while staff numbers will rise to 100 - up by 54pc.

Chief executive officer Luke Creighan, said that the company is looking to expand even more next year. He said "2015 has been a great year for the brand and we are looking at a minimum of five locations for next year".

Mr Creighan (44) started his business after seeing the success of a local baker in a Eurospar he managed in Kilmainham. Since then the father-of-two has progressed the business where it now sells 45 different types of breads and over 40 types of cakes.
