Mobile Technologies to hire 150 'talented' tech staff at new European HQ in Ireland

Some 150 jobs are to be created a a new contact centre for Mobile Technologies Inc (MTI) over the next three years.

Recruitment at the European headquarters - based in Drogheda - is already underway for a range of technology based roles.

Founded in 1977, US firm MTI specialises in mobile device display technologies and operates in over 90 countries worldwide.

"Driving investment into regional locations is a key focus for me," Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor said.

"This investment will be of considerable benefit to Drogheda and the Border Region, providing a significant boost to employment and benefitting the economy of the town and region."

President and CEO of Mobile Technologies Inc., Chris Remy commented: “We chose Ireland due to its talented technology savvy workforce, attractive business environment, and its membership in the European Union.
