In October 2016 the merger of Quintiles and IMS Health completed to form QuintilesIMS – a leading global healthcare provider of integrated information and technology-enabled services – helping clients to drive healthcare forward with a network of more than 50,000 talented employees operating across more than 100 countries.
The company offers clients a full suite of commercial outsourcing services, such as the provision of highly skilled Medical Representatives, Medical Science Liaisons and management personnel for both long- and short-term projects.
In addition the company provides patient-centric nurse adviser services which are focussed on both post prescription patient support and adherence, and primary and secondary care based therapy review and audit. These services provide strategic insight into the health system in Ireland and are tailored to meet the needs of those involved, while also delivering truly patient-centric care direct to patients.
“We pride ourselves in excelling in all areas that we work, and provide a service that is adaptable and responsive to the needs of our customers. In the context of an ever changing marketplace we have worked hard to adapt our services to meet the needs of our clients. To this end we have added levels of sophistication to our nurse programmes and deployed Medical Representatives and other sales and marketing services in a more bespoke manner, depending upon client needs,” said Paul Byrne, Head of Commercial Operations and Country Host Manager, QuintilesIMS Ireland.
The QuintilesIMS clinical operations organisation provides services in many aspects of drug development including data management, regulatory affairs, biostatistics and pharmacovigilance, and the company also provides world-leading data and consultancy services, helping to accelerate healthcare innovation and transformation.
QuintilesIMS has career opportunities in its Dublin office for positions at both a local and global level, for high performers wanting to make an impact and develop their career at an exciting time for the company.
“We have regular opportunities for roles such as Medical Representatives, Nurse Advisers, Medical Science Liaisons, pharmaceutical sales and marketing management and in many aspects of clinical development. In a company that has end-to-end capabilities across product development and commercialisation at an industry-leading scale, there are numerous opportunities for employees based in Ireland,” said Paul.
The company’s performance appraisal and individual development plan system provides an opportunity for employees at all levels to discuss and develop their talents within their current job roles, and prepare for career progression within the firm.
There are discussions with the individual’s manager to ensure all opportunities to develop and discover untapped talent are explored. Employees are encouraged to transition to new opportunities and alternative departments either by way of a lateral transfer or promotion.
“As an integral part of our culture, we have excellent processes in place to recognise, reward and thank employees for both individual and team contributions. This serves to highlight the excellence that exists in all areas across QuintilesIMS and contributes significantly to the success of the company and generates a productive, innovative, engaging and rewarding place of work for all employees.”
“It is highly motivating for our employees to know that everything they do helps our clients drive healthcare forward – improving patient health globally. In 2017 we will continue to develop our services and will work to advance healthcare by seamlessly connecting clinical and commercial execution to real-world outcomes.”
