Domino’s Pizza is recruiting 1,000 staff in Ireland for its busy winter season.

The takeaway company said it expects 700,000 pizzas to be ordered here during the cold months and will need to beef up its employment base to cope with demand.

It is hiring delivery drivers, in-store team members and pizza makers in shops across the country.

A spokesperson for the company said it offers plenty of flexibility in the new positions, with evening and weekend shift work available.

It also said it offers career progression and on-the-job training, with 90pc of store managers having started out with the company as a team member.

Commenting on the recruitment drive, chief executive for Domino’s Ireland, Scott Bush, said: “As we approach a very busy period with international football and the festive peak, we are excited to announce 1,000 new roles with Domino’s across Ireland.

“We are proud to be able to offer a range of flexible in-store and contract driver roles, which may be suited to those looking for additional employment opportunities or to fit around study or family life.

“So, if the idea of being part of our world-class pizza squad is up your street, then a role at Domino’s could be for you.”
