Jasper Conran designs Stuart Crystal
STUART Crystal, one of the Waterford Wedgwood portfolio of premium crystal and ceramics brands, has signed an agreement with top fashion designer Jasper Conran to create a new collection of crystal stemware and gift items.
It is part of the company's strategy to reposition itself for the new Millennium.
Stuart has been part of Waterford Wedgwood since 1995 and has a 200-year tradition of as one of Britain's finest crystalware.
Waterford Wedgwood already works with top fashion designers Versace, Bulgari, John Rocha and Paul Costelloe.
``Jasper Conran, whose name is synonymous with timeless fashion and innovative design, has been a major force in British fashion for 20 years,'' according to Stuart chief executive Greg Rogers.
``Consistently he has produced inspired collections which have built up a strong customer base.
``His style is very accessible, yet it retains an elegance associated with haute couture,'' he added.
Mr Rogers noted that Mr Conran's confident designs had made him a household name.
``His collection for Stuart Crystal will be a fantastic addition to the portfolio,'' he added.
The new collection will be designed to afford each consumer the opportunity to own high quality giftware that reflects the sense of style and confidence so intrinsic to its designer's image.
