OVER 200 of Ireland's leading business women are attending the Network Ireland's annual national conference at Knockranny House Hotel in Westport, Co Mayo today.

The theme of the conference is "Harnessing Opportunity for Women in Changing Times."

President of Network Ireland and organiser, Olwen Dawe said the event is about action and leadership.

“As an organisation which has, for over 30 years, supported the advancement of women in their chosen professional paths – Network Ireland this year focuses on what can be achieved, and what needs to be done to seize opportunity in a changing economic and social landscape,” she said..

Speakers include Anne O’Leary, CEO Vodafone Ireland and Terry Prone, Chair of The Communications Clinic.

Others include Niamh Gallagher, the founder of Women for Election and Lulu O’Sullivan, the chief executive of 4GiftsDirect who is also on the Advisory Board of the entrepreneurship support initiative Going For Growth.

Conference partners aare AIB, Mayo.ie, Mayo LEO and Enterprise Ireland.

MC for the day is Mayo native Dr Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin.

Meanwhile, Samantha Kelly is taking her networking business #IrishBizParty across the border for a conference in October.

It takes place at the Killyhevlin hotel, Killyhevin on Wednesday October 14.
