Weddings by Franc profits slip to €160,000 due to expansion costs
Expansion costs hit profits at the wedding firm operated by Franc, the country's best-known wedding planner, last year.
New figures show accumulated profits dipped from €168,654 to €160,607 in the 12 months to the end of June last. Franc aka Peter Kelly, who starred in RTÉ's 'DIY Brides', is taking advantage of the average spend by Irish couples on their weddings which increased last year by 8pc to €24,427.
New figures show the firm's cash pile last year declined from €114,735 to €55,180. The amount owed by debtors declined from €145,122 to €108,673.
Mr Kelly and his wife, Eadaoin Morrish are joint owners and directors. The joint pay to Franc and Ms Morrish increased from €89,927 to €101,073 while the two also shared €17,928 in pension payments last year. Franc's business includes the House of Franc at Glanworth Hill, Co Cork.
