Walter Raleigh Hotel for €450k

The long-established Walter Raleigh Hotel in Youghal, Co Cork, is for sale with a €450,000 price tag.

The three-star hotel, was completely refurbished in recent years and now includes 38 en suite bedrooms -- all of which have views of the Atlantic Ocean -- as well as a bar, restaurant, function room which can cater for up to 350 and a smaller conference/function room.

It also has fully equipped kitchens.

The hotel is being sold by Jim Hamilton of BDO receiver to Beechford Ltd.

Since his appointment last September, the hotel has been operated by the management company, Atlantic Hospitality, and is now being offered for sale with vacant possession, fully licenced and as a freehold property.

It is situated on the N25 Atlantic Corridor Route on the western entrance to the historic and picturesque town of Youghal in east Cork.

The town is a holiday destination with a local population of 6,990, which can double and treble in the summer months.

The hotel is named after the town's most famous one-time resident, Sir Walter Raleigh, whose old home is now a major local tourist attraction.

The joint agents are CBRE Hotels and Downing Commercial.
