Vodafone Ireland to create over 100 new jobs

TELECOMS firm Vodafone Ireland has announced the creation of more than 100 new jobs including technology, finance and sales positions.

The company said it is hiring on the back of demand for its broadband, mobile and data services.

113 jobs will be created, some permanent and others part-time.

It already employs 1,100 people and has 2.4m customers.

Meanwhile, a Mayo-based cloud service provider is creating a further 19 new jobs.

CloudStrong manages servers and software on behalf of clients and is based in Castlebar.

It was founded in 2011 and is part of Enterprise Ireland's High Potential Startup Programme, which focuses on exports.
