According to the firm the investment will lead to the creation of around 100 construction jobs on the site during the different phases of the project.
Welcoming the investment IDA Ireland chief Barry O’Leary said “This IDA supported investment demonstrates Bausch + Lomb’s commitment to Waterford and will help to further position its Irish operation as a centre of strategic importance within the parent company.
"The company’s decision to deepen its commitment and secure 1,100 jobs in the South- East region is a significant vote of confidence in Ireland’s international reputation and standing as an excellent investment location.”
“Manufacturing continues to be a key strategic feature of Ireland’s economy, and capital investment of this scale with the associated investment in training and up-skilling is what will truly transform the Irish economy.
"On behalf of IDA I look forward to working with Bausch + Lomb as the company further develops in Ireland” continued Barry O’Leary.
