Two of the country’s biggest magazine publishers have agreed distribution deals with Independent News & Media’s Newspread business worth €7m.

Newspread, Ireland’s leading wholesaler and distributor of indigenous newspapers and magazines, announced the renewal of two landmark contracts with Harmonia and RTÉ.

The contracts, with a combined retail sales value of €7m a year, are to distribute 10 million magazines to over 6,500 retailers across the country.

It covers titles include the RTÉ Guide, Irish Tatler, U Magazine, Woman’s Way, FOOD&WINE Magazine, Irish Tatler Man, Irish Tatler Business, Ireland of the Welcomes, and the Woman’s Way Cookbook.

As well as distribution, Newspread provides the publishers with access to real-time information on how each title is performing and is also the exclusive wholesaler for the majority of leading daily, Sunday and provincial newspapers in Ireland.

“With the benefit of over 40 years in the business, we have built very strong relationships with all the key retail groups around the country. We are pleased to announce the renewal of these distribution contracts with Harmonia and RTÉ for the twentieth year,” said Newspread chief executive Ian Keogh.
