TV duo move behind camera to make video profiles for firms

TWO Irish television personalities have moved behind the camera as part of a new venture offering businesses the chance to star in their own corporate videos.

RTE presenter Brian Ormond and TV3 star Laura Woods have teamed up to form their own side venture, Corporate Profiles.

The company has so far signed up a number of clients including the Lemongrass Restaurant chain and Pulse Security, which provides security for the Aviva Stadium and Dental Options.

Mr Ormond (33) said online promotional videos were the way forward for businesses.

"It's for anyone who uses their website to promote their business. Thirty per cent of websites in America have video, but by the end of next year 90pc will," Mr Ormond said.

"If you have video on your website, you'll pop up 70pc quicker on a Google search than your competitors will."

Asked why the pair where diversifying into the corporate world, Mr Ormond said it was good to have another niche beyond RTE.

"From doing the stuff in RTE you know how everything works behind the camera, so it's another string to my bow," he said.
