Flying Ireland winger Tommy Bowe's commercial sports firm was sitting on accumulated profits of more than €420,000 at the end of last March.

Accounts filed by Bowe's Tommy Bowe Sports Ltd to Companies House in the UK show that the firm had accumulated profits of £355,151 (€421,902) at the end of March this year.

The accounts show that profits at the firm increased by just under £100,000 last year - going from £256,634 to £355,151. The filing confirms that Ulster player Bowe also invested, adding a tangible asset with a book value of £866,534.

During the year, the amount Bowe's firm owed to creditors increased from £50,277 to £589,589.

Bowe is back playing again after a long lay-off on the sidelines with injury - and his off-field brand continues to strengthen,

Over the past number of years, Bowe has enjoyed a lucrative deal with Co Monaghan shoe firm, Buddha Brand.

The most recent figures available show that 'Lloyd&Pryce - The Tommy Bowe Collection' Footwear for Gents, Ladies and children, delivered 28pc or €2.6m of the firm's €9.3m revenues in the 12 months to the end of January 2015.

The'XV Kings - Tommy Bowe Designs' - Gents Clothing & Lifestyle - accounted for an additional €1.39m in revenues.

The cash pile at the Ireland star's company more than doubled going from £45,740 to £102,136.
