Accumulated profits at the firm owned by rugby's flying winger, Tommy Bowe, raced ahead last year to top almost €350,000.

New accounts filed by the Co Monaghan man's firm, Tommy Bowe Sports, with Companies House in the UK show that accumulated profits rose by £31,494 to £274,992 (€347,217).

The 30-year-old rugby star has recently regained his place in the all-conquering national side after a long time plagued with injury. He scored vital tries against both South Africa and Australia in the autumn internationals.

Mr Bowe recently secured his professional future by signing a three-year contract with the IRFU and Ulster that will run to June 2018.

Part of Ireland's 2009 Grand Slam winning team, one of Bowe's commercial deals involves a Tommy Bowe shoe range for Co Monaghan firm Buddha Brand Industry.

Bowe also fronts a Tommy Bowe clothing collection and recently launched a second range following up on a successful first collection.
