Three out of ten company directors are women – up 20pc in five years
THE NUMBER of women who are directors of Irish companies has increased by 20pc in the last five years.
Nearly 100,000 women are now directors according to research by business and credit risk analyst Vision-net.
Three out of ten company directors are female, it was revealed on International Women's Day.
Women directors now number 99,915, compared to 84,370 five years ago and 43,282 a decade ago.
Almost two-thirds of women directors are in their 40s, 23pc are in their 50s and just 4pc are in their 20s.
