Business at the go-to travel firm for celebrities and the rich holidaying in Ireland was recently boosted by a group of eight Texans spending €300,000 on a five-day luxury vacation.

The extravagant Irish holiday by the Texans was customised by the Dublin-based Adams & Butler. Managing director Siobhán Byrne Learat said the group "took a lot of helicopters around Ireland".

Ms Byrne Learat said the group of men were here to celebrate a 50th birthday and the activities organised for them by Adams & Butler included hunting deer in Co Fermanagh.

They also played a round of golf at the Old Head of Kinsale course while they stayed at the five-star Ashford Castle.

Ms Byrne Learat said the €300,000 spent did not include the cost of the eight flying and departing from Ireland by private jet.

New accounts show that Adams & Butler enjoyed profits of €205,630 last year. Accumulated profits at the business - which arranged the itinerary of Kanye West's and Kim Kardashian's low-profile honeymoon here - increased to €998,975 from €783,345.

In the 12 months to the end of October last, the company's cash pile increased to €1.03m from €959,530.
