Teamworx recruitment win contract with Selfridges of London
Irish retail recruitment firm Teamworx have signed a contract with top London department store Selfridges. The firm, which is headed up by Dale Powell and Denise Brady, will provide recruitment services to fill a number of managerial roles within the iconic retail business.
Due to the economic downturn high level job opportunities in the retail sector in Ireland are scarce at present while the UK still has a number of opportunities.
As a result of these factors, Selfridges is now looking to Ireland as a source for potential talent.
Selfridges already has strong links with Ireland (via its sister company Brown Thomas) and there are already a number of Irish people in senior roles such as Store Director Meave Wall and Chief Executive Paul Kelly.
“Selfridges wanted to explore different channels to open doors for experienced retail executives looking to take the next step on the career ladder. Opportunities will start at Department Management level through to Senior Management depending on the needs of the business,” explained Denise Brady.
“There is a wealth of talent in the Irish market and I am delighted to see a UK retailer recognising this by offering Irish retailers fantastic, fast paced career opportunities,” she added.
Teamworx is at the forefront of retail recruitment in Ireland and has extensive experience in recruiting for high end retail names.
The company already works with some brands within the Selfridges store including Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Kurt Geiger.
Selfridges, meanwhile, was recently named the world’s best department store at the Global Department Store Summit in New York.
