Supergroup, the UK owner of hip clothing brand Superdry, has cut a deal with the Irish Revenue Commissioners over moves to set intellectual property expenditure against its tax bill.

Superdry, which is worn by David Beckham, Leonard di Caprio and Pippa Middleton, is expanding its operations in Ireland, with new stores in the pipeline.

"A deferred tax asset of £0.7m has been recognised as an exceptional item in the period following agreement with the Irish Revenue on the relief for intellectual property created as part of the March 2010 reorganisation," Supergroup said.
