Pre-tax profits almost tripled last year at the Irish arm of luxury brand, Swarovski as revenues increased to €4m.

According to the directors for Swarovski Ireland, the opening of a new store in Kildare Village and a continuation of a kiosk in Liffey Valley contributed to strong sales growth.

The directors state that revenues increased by 14pc to €4m and an increased margin on sales allowed the company to record a pre-tax profit of €70,000 last year.

This followed the company recording pre-tax profits of €25,000 in 2014.
