Secret Millionaire trains British army
Galway businessman Jim Breen, who will be the first to feature in the new series of RTE's The Secret Millionaire, has made a fortune selling online training to the British army through his company, Pulse Learning.
Pulse Learning, of which Mr Breen is chief executive, has won contracts worth hundreds of thousands with the British army.
"We provide the training software that helps the British army to maintain and operate their weapons and equipment," he said. "Our online training is mobile, so soldiers can learn on the frontline."
Pulse Learning has also won contracts worth hundreds of thousands of euro with the Australian airline, Virgin Australia, part of Richard Branson's Virgin Group.
The company has also secured multimillion-euro contracts with the US technology giant CA Technologies.
The Secret Millionaire kicks off on RTE One tomorrow. It features four millionaires -- each of whom gives about €40,000 to charities, including Headway, which helps people affected by brain injuries.
"I saw the documentary as an opportunity to give something back," said Mr Breen.
