Scisys seals €9m EU win after Irish move

Dublin-listed Scisys has won €9.7m in orders for the European satellite navigation system Galileo.

Scisys provides IT and software services to sectors including space and defence.

The orders are from Thales Alenia Space France for the development and implementation of security-relevant elements within the Galileo Ground Segment. They are in addition to two initial orders valued at €3m in December 2018.

"We are delighted with these significant follow-on orders, which further strengthen our order book and position in the EU-funded Galileo satellite navigation programme, notwithstanding Brexit uncertainties," said Scisys CEO Klaus Heidrich, adding the group remained optimistic on its prospects.

The UK firm, which risked being cut off from EU contracts after Brexit, became the first London-listed firm to seek entry to Dublin's ISE.
