Ryanair traffic up 2pc despite havoc of French strike

RYANAIR's monthly traffic grew by 2pc to 7.96 million passengers in June while total 12-month traffic was up by 4pc to a record 79.9 million passengers. Load factor was 84pc, meaning more than four-fifths of seats were filled during the month – the same as June 2012, but slightly higher than the annual average load factor in the year up to June, which was 82pc.

"Traffic increased by 2pc over June 2012, despite the recent French ATC strike," said spokesperson Robin Kiley, "where up to 90,000 Ryanair passengers were affected and over 500 flights were cancelled."
