Ryanair to create 200 new IT jobs

500 jobs being created at Ryanair, Alexion and Pepper Asset Servicing

RYANAIR is to create 200 IT jobs as it ups its digital game ahead of a new website launch and a new mobile app.

The announcement was made today by An Taosieach Enda Kenny and Finance Minister Michael Noonan at the airline’s new headquarters in Dublin.

The jobs will be mainly in the technology, software and digital marketing areas.

All in 500 new jobs were announced today including the pharma and financial services sectors.

Pharmaceutical firm Alexion is to create 200 jobs in Blanchardstown, Co Dublin in an expansion at its Irish operations including a €75m investment in a new global supply chain facility.

The company is constructing an office and warehouse facility at College Park.

An additional 200 jobs are expected to be created as a result of the expansion.

The company already employs 60 people in Dublin and bought another facility in Athlone in February.

Pepper Asset Servicing is creating 100 new jobs following on from its contract with NAMA.
