An Italian trade union has warned that Ryanair workers who are members of the organisation will consider more strikes if demands for better terms and conditions are not met by the airline.

A spokeswoman for the Fit-Cisl union in Italy confirmed that contract Ryanair cabin crew and pilots who are members of the union will strike from 2pm-6pm on October 27. She could not immediately say how many Ryanair workers the union has.

The union has notified companies including Crewlink, McGinley Aviation and Workforce International Contractors that employees of those firms who work at Ryanair and are members of Fit-Cisl will be striking that day. The planned strike is a significant escalation of recent employee unrest.
