Roscommon blocks seek €550k

A mixed use development on Castle Street in Roscommon Town is being offered for sale with a €550,000 price tag.

Of the two blocks in the development, Block B is finished and extends over three floors with a total of 10 apartments of which seven have two bedrooms, two units have three bedrooms and the other is a one-bedroom unit.

When they were all let they had been producing an annual rental income of about €65,000. Three of them are still let while the joint receivers Martin Ferris and Damien Harper have redecorated the majority of the units which are now vacant and ready for re-letting

Block A is finished externally but in shell condition internally, finished to Grey Box standard, being the bare block finish, and has never been occupied.

Jeremy Kelly of agents Kelly Walsh says it consists of office space on the ground and first-floor level fronting on to Castle Street. On the second floor are two, two-bedroom apartments. The building is rectangular in shape to the front with an L shaped extension to the rear.

Remedial works have been completed to both Block A and the external areas to ensure the development now complies with the granting of planning permission.

The sale will include 26 surface spaces in a car park on the opposite side of Castle Street. Located in the centre of Roscommon Town, the street is adjacent to Market Square and just off Main Street.
