RiRa digital for 'Seachtain'
IRISH language radio station Raidio RiRa was formally welcomed to the digital airwaves this week, with Gaeltacht Minister Eamon O Cuiv doing the honours.
The project, operated by Dusty Rhodes' Digital Audio Productions, will broadcast on FM frequencies in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway for three weeks to coincide with Seachtain na Gaeilge.
The station also broadcasts all year round on (www.raidiorira.ie) and is expected to be broadcast on special digital (DAB) radios this summer.
Based in 98FM's old studios, Raidio RiRa has positioned itself as an Irish language hit music station -- launched just in time for Seachtain na Gaeilge.
