The saying 'Where there's muck, there's money' has been true for the children of the late John and Dorothy Murphy, who founded Antrim-based waste management and scrap recycling firm Clearway Hammond Group in the mid-1960s.

Over the years, it grew into one of the largest such companies in these islands. One holding company has £75m (€84m) in shareholders' funds, and booked a €16m profit on sales of €135m of sales in its last accounts in 2017.

Business has passed down in the genes, and between them, John, Paul and Tracey are also making money from distribution, compression and bathroom ventures.
