Seamus Fitzpatrick (52) is the co-founder and managing partner of the €4bn Mayfair-based private equity group CapVest. The company was best known for its shareholdings in the Mater Private Group, which it sold last year to investment fund InfraVia Capital Partners. The 52-year-old's group also has a stake in Valeo, the owners of the Jacob, Fruitfield, and Odlum brands.
CapVest exited its investment in the Norwegian consumer foods business Scandza in June. It sold its stake in the business to management and a consortium of local investors. Fitzpatrick's firm has also acquired the confectionery division of Finnish business Raisio, adding the likes of Fox's Glacier mints and Poppets to its portfolio.
