Galway-born tech entrepreneur Pearse Mee floated Memory Computers in the 1980s. The 76-year-old sold AMT-Sybex, netting €94m when selling out to Capita for about €130m in 2014. He recently headed up a funding round for Cork-based financial services firm Global Shares, which was also named in Deloitte's Technology Fast50 list. Revenue at Global Shares jumped by more than €2m in 2017 to €6.5m. Mee and his wife Annette are also big racing fans and recorded a number of wins at last year's Galway Races.
