Kieran Curran

Limerick man Kieran Curran (38) and his family owned 59pc of DNA sequencing firm GenCell, which was sold to Becton Dickinson for $150m (€142.5m) in late 2014. He now operates through his new company Curran Scientific, which during 2008 was part of a consortium along with Amryt and UCD that won €8.5m in government funding for the development of an innovativfe gene therapy. He is also an investor in Limerick-based Longboat Clinical, where he is a director.
