Brian Long (62) is founder and managing partner of high-performing technology fund Atlantic Bridge Ventures. It recently signed a strategic investment partnership with the sovereign wealth fund of Oman, adding to a previously launched €140m fund for Irish technology companies with the potential to scale globally.
Last year, Long joined the board of hot Irish chip company Decawave, one of a range of tech companies supported by Atlantic. He first came to prominence after raising €35m from selling shares before the tech crash when he floated his company Parthus on the Nasdaq in 2000. His wife, Olivia Gaynor Long, had bought the exclusive Residence club in Dublin out of receivership in 2010 but sold the loss-making venue to her brother Peter and his business partner John Collins in 2017. He subsequently sold it to the Press Up group last year. The Longs own valuable properties in Killiney and Monaco.
