Walsh (52) and Kelly (51) are the majority shareholders in Carlow-based security camera and software firm Netwatch. It raised €19.5m in 2016 to fund its expansion plans in the US in particular and is understood to be worth a multiple of that.
In 2015, Walsh said that an IPO could value the company at as much as €250m. The company employs over 180 staff in offices here in Newry, Cambridge and two in the US. Its customers span the globe, with a particular focus on South Africa, Europe, the US and the Middle East.
