Serial entrepreneur and investor Morrisroe set up The Now Factory, a big data company which employed more than 200 people. IBM splurged $125m to buy the company in 2013 and the Roscommon man netted about 74m. Previously, he made 15m when Arantech, which he co-owned, was bought for 76m in 2009. He has emerged as a backer of the Ronan Group's Spencer Place Development Company, which has won the right to develop six acres of prime real estate in Dublin's Docklands. Morrisroe has taken a 33pc stake in the company.
