Michael Chadwick stepped down from the helm of Grafton Group at the end of last year, although he remains the company's third largest shareholder with an 8.2pc stake. Grafton has been cautious on its UK business since the Brexit vote, however, and the value of the company has slipped as a result. With a market capitalisation of £1.46bn (1.7bn), Sandymount-based Chadwick is sitting on shares worth around 145m, taking a hit when converted into euro to the weaker sterling. He also is an investor in property assets and owns a marina.
