Over 100 million people have paid to see the Riverdance show since Michael Flatley and Jean Butler first wowed viewers at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. The main beneficiaries have been John McColgan (71) and his wife Moya Doherty (58). Riverdance shareholders McColgan and Doherty originally owned 65.5pc of the show but have since taken full ownership and had shares worth 210m between them by 2000.
The couple put their 9,000sqft Howth, Co Dublin home Danes Hollow on the market last year for 9.5m, but it is still listed as being for sale by the agent.
