Brothers Greg (55), Mark (50) and Niall (48) Turley sold most of their stake in car rental technology Cartrawler for 110m in 2011, although they kept a 25pc shareholding. The Terenure family had built up the Argus car hire business before identifying an opportunity to develop the technology for the entire industry.

The company was again sold by its private equity owners for 400m, giving the brothers another payday, although there was debt to be cleared. They have invested in building Europe's largest bioethanol plant in Hungary and other start-ups. As well as property assets in Dublin 6, Niall Turley bought Tulira Castle on 265 acres in Co Galway, for almost 5.8m in 2015.
