Dublin hostel owner Kennedy (49) teamed up with ace coder Ray Nolan to make booking hostels internet-friendly.

They sold their company Hostelworld for €249m in 2009. Kennedy owned a minority stake. He is now trying to create a rival to Airbnb with Homestay.com. Kennedy has backed a number of Nolan's other ventures.
