Louth-born animal health industrialist Eddie Haughey - Lord Ballyedmond - died in a helicopter crash in 2014. His wife Mary and family now own the Norbrook laboratories business. Last December about €104m worth of assets, including properties and farming land, were transferred to the Haughey family by Norbrook as part of a restructuring.

The Haugheys also own castles in Rostrevor and Cumbria as well as an estate in Norfolk. There's also a house in London's ultra-exclusive Belgrave Square, which was bought for €18m in 2006. Based on recent transactions, it's easily worth €50m.
