Dubliner Rosaleen Blair (50) started out by advertising northside childminders to wealthy southside families looking for nannies. With skills like that it didn't take long for her to become one of the top head-hunters in the highly-competitive London recruitment market.

She sold her €315m-valued AMS recruitment firm to private-equity group New Mountain Capital in 2013, retaining a €60m stake. There have been bumper salaries.
