Serial tech entrepreneur, Cork man Phelan (50) is one of the most inspirational characters in Ireland's thriving technology scene.

Having started his career as a butcher, Phelan pivoted into telecoms, helping set up Cubic Telecom, selling his stake in 2012. He ploughed the proceeds into Trustev, which he built up with partner Chris Kennedy (31). It was sold for €40m to TransUnion last December.
