“Refine, refresh, resource, refinance, rebrand, restructure, regenerate .
. . Result.” That’s the motto of restructuring firm Hilco UK, which is headed up by Belfast retail turnaround king Paul McGowan. It runs retailers including Xtravision and HMV in Ireland and the UK with sales approaching €1bn. McGowan, who has a stately pile in Louth, owns 20pc of the business. He’s shared in massive dividends including a €26m payout in 2012.
